The Complicated Relationship Between Church and State
The election may be over, but uncertainty still hangs in the air. Last month there was an event called the Jericho March in Washington DC. It was sort of a big pep rally with a mixture of Christianity and American patriotism. That was followed by a slew of social media posts and articles denouncing the event and condemning "Christian Trumpism." So I put together a short teaching series exploring the complicated relationship between church and state.
In part 1, I explore the question: Is America a Christian nation? My answer: it depends.
Part 2 explores God's design for spheres of sovereignty: the self, the family, the church and the state.
Part 3 applies the principles of the first two teachings to some practical issues Christians. are currently facing.
